Facilities

Penduka Safaris uses three styles of tents.

Sahara Tents (4.5M x 3M) with en suite facilities on most scheduled and private safaris

Bow tents (3M x 3M) with en suite facilities for larger groups, expeditions, and budget safaris

Meru-style tents (5M X 3,4M) with en suite facilities on our luxury safaris

All bedding is supplied and includes: a comfortable camp bed, mattress, duvet, blankets, pillows, towels, bedside table, and paraffin lamp.

All tents have en suite bush bathrooms, which comprise a bucket shower and a chemical toilet **

** Occasionally, it may not be possible or practical to have en-suite facilities; this is detailed further on the safari fact sheet.

Vehicles

We have a range of vehicles, and all our scheduled safaris offer window seats.

We mainly use our Toyota Land Cruisers and Ford F350 game viewers, but on certain expeditions and heritage safaris, we use our infamous Internationals with rooftop hatches.

We also use the Internationals on safaris with long-distance driving and during the wet season. In these scenarios, they are far superior to the open vehicles, since you can escape the elements.

We also have returning clients who insist on one of the original green Internationals!

Each vehicle is equipped with a radio and a Satellite phone or Starlink for communication.

Cuisine

You will enjoy delicious meals and 3-course dinners, prepared by a competent bush chef and served in the dining tent. Dietary requirements can be accommodated.

Soft drinks, purified water, beer, wine, and gin & tonics are included.

On our luxury safaris, we have a full bar service.
